On 18 March 2021, Hoan My Thu Duc International General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City officially opened its doors. With 500 beds and a range of key specialties, Hoan My Thu Duc is the 15th hospital to bear the Hoan My name.
The newly-opened hospital has invested in the most modern medical equipment, and spans 32 specialties dedicated to inpatient and outpatient medical services. The hospital is located on 241 Highway 1K, Linh Xuan Ward, Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City), with 500 beds and a total area of 13,000 m2.
Hoan My Thu Duc International General Hospital focuses on providing minimally invasive intervention methods and techniques in the treatment of cardiovascular, neurological, and urological diseases, in order to reduce the necessary hospitalisation period. It will also serve patients with key specialties including obstetrics and gynaecology, trauma surgery and emergency surgery.
In line with international standards, the hospital will provide digitised medical records, making administration and patient services run smoothly and efficiently. This also enables swift communication and data exchange with other hospitals in the Hoan My group. Hoan My is currently completing the implementation of it's electronic medical record management system, as well as upgrading software for booking medical examinations and monitoring patients’ medical history.
In the coming year, Hoan My Thu Duc International General Hospital plans to establish a Vascular Diagnosis and Intervention Centre and a Cancer Treatment Centre.
At the opening ceremony for the hospital, Associate Professor Doctor Luong Ngoc Khue, Department Director of Medical Administration (Ministry of Health), commented: “Hoan My Thu Duc International General Hospital is located at the gateway to the East of Ho Chi Minh City. This means that all of those living in nearby regions such as Dong Nai, Binh Duong will in the future have access to a professional and reputable choice for medical examination and treatment.” TS.
